Export & Shipping Policy

Last updated: 25 August 2026

This policy describes how Pamoja Flowers (K) Limited handles grading, packing, cold-chain care, and export logistics for cut-flower orders. It supplements our Terms of Service and applies to all confirmed orders unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Harvest & Grading

Stems are harvested and graded by trained teams, with clean hydration and quality-control checks before packing. Grading standards follow the specifications agreed for each order (stem length, bunch size, and quality grade).

Packing

  • Bunching is flexible: typically 10–25 stems per bunch depending on variety.
  • Boxing is typically 300–400 stems per box depending on variety and stem length; exact pack rates by variety are listed in our product catalogue.
  • Stem lengths generally range 40–80cm depending on variety; custom lengths and pack configurations can be arranged on request, subject to availability.

Cold-Chain Handling

Product is moved through a cold chain from post-harvest handling through to airport handover, to protect freshness and vase life. Vase-life estimates shown in our catalogue assume proper cold-chain handling and correct post-arrival care by the receiving party.

Export & Freight

We export via Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), Nairobi, working with established freight partners. Door-to-door delivery options are available on request. Freight terms, Incoterms, and estimated transit times are confirmed per order and set out in the order confirmation or invoice.

Availability & Seasonality

Several varieties have defined seasonal availability windows (for example, Delphiniums are typically available September–June); windows are listed against each variety in our catalogue and are subject to change based on growing conditions. We will confirm current availability at the time of your inquiry.

Quality Claims

If product arrives outside agreed quality or grading specifications, please contact us within 24 hours of receipt with photographic evidence and order details, so we can review the claim promptly. Claims raised after this window, or without supporting evidence, may be difficult for us to assess.

Delays Outside Our Control

We are not responsible for delays or quality impacts caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including flight schedule changes, customs processing, weather events, or actions of third-party freight or customs partners, though we will work with you to minimize disruption.
